Mat Man is very important to us for so many reasons! He teaches us about our body, where our body parts belong, and he even can help us pretend. During the month of January, Mat Man wore many "HATS" to go along with our Community Unit of "Where Do We Live?" He was a firefighter, a baker, a teacher, a police officer, a magician, and many more. He also helped us to grow in drawing our self-portraits. Can you find your child's self-portait and see a difference between August and January? We are thrilled with the progress and so are the children!
The pre-kindergarten children at Woodland are taught to stretch their brain and explore the world surrounding them. They begin to learn about themselves as individuals and then grow into how they fit in the world surrounding them. The greatest accomplishment of this year in pre-kindergarten is when the children share and teach others about peace. That deserves a "Kiss Your Brain!"
